Love this thing! Had to get the 12".

I wanted to smooth wall the old textured wall. It took a while to get it right, most the consistency of the mud plays a huge roll. Cannot be too thick, water it down, if it chatters, you need to add water so mist it before wiping w tool. I have gotten good in a short time and have decided to do most of the house. First coat of mud is thicker to fill the texture but after that, its pretty sloppy. I sponge sand the first coat, wipe down. Second lighter coat and hand sand, third coat (the mix is sloppy) is touch up, sand and i'm done. I love the new look! If you are having issues its usually the mud being too thick, takes almost as long to mud to right consistency as it does to put it on the wall and swipe down. Sometimes, if the spot doesnt look too good, i mist the wall, wait a bit, mist the tool and wipe down. Great quality product. Wish this combo included two handles so that you did not have to switch back and forth, but great item. Once you learn what amount of pressure to hold the knifes, you can get great results. Make sure to keep the blade guards, as the smallest knick will ruin the edge.Read full review

The best out there

If you a fan of knock down texture this is the best trowels out there. The only down side is that it only comes with one handle for the set. I tried to find it separately to add to my other trowel and they either don’t sell it or I haven’t been able to find it. As far as performance, in my opinion and experience in the field I can say they are the best I’ve used. The results are amazing if you apply the trowel at the right time.Read full review

Great trowel

It works great. My walls were at some point sand painted, and once I scraped the sharp stuff away, this trowel made it much easier to skim coat the walls to prep for painting. No coms.
