Topdon Artidiag 800 BT

I was looking for midrange diagnostic tool, many different brands and options available. My choice of Topdon Artidiag 800 BT mainly because this tool comes with a free lifetime updates. Apart from that VCI connect via Bluetooth so no worries about messy wiring, good battery life, plus unit just the right size - it has a good size touchscreen and at the same time not too big so you can keep it in the car with you, comes with a nice carrying case.
Test it on my Mercedes, it picked up a few fault codes that I could not see with another diagnostic tool.
Very easy to use, automatic VIN recognition, worked on Mercedes, BMW, Mitsubishi, VW, Skoda, Kia.
There is no bidirectional commands on this scanner, but you can get around that using live data monitoring if you need to see some data on modules and switches.
In this price range this diagnostic scanner is a clear vinner.

Scanner did not find really obvious fault on my Renult scenic - stop brake error - scenic constant displayed error but nothing from scanner. Same again with a Matiz dashboard brake light error. When it does find an error and you need more info it searches Google but finds nothing. It gives the impression, it can do a lot but in use its another thing in my opiniun.Read full review...

Highly Recommended.

The TOPDON AD800BT OBD2 scanner looks and feels like a quality product. It has a very good quality screen with clear icons. The free lifetime updates are a very valuable inclusion and ensure the unit can always be kept up to date. The wire free Bluetooth VCI plug makes the scanner very easy and convenient to use. This scan tool gives access to 28 of the commonly used reset and relearn functions you may need to use on your vehicle at a value for money price. Highly recommended.Read full review...

Quality piece of kit with free updates

I've had other , cheaper OBD2 scanners in the past that required a windows computer and software off the web which were hit and miss and don't work now but this is leaps and bounds ahead of those.
It's more expensive but has lifetime updates and gives a detailed report and worked on my older vehicles with few issues ('03 Citroen and '06 Ford).
It has a quality feel to it and did not take much setting up.
Just got to investigate the issues found now.

Light weight with great features..

This is a very good scanner and does a lot of things too much to mention in this review, there are some videos about this scanner on YouTube,
A certain well-known website sells this same item for £400plus, so go on and buy one, it will save you money in the long run. each time my Van went into the garage to find a fault code it was costing me £69 just to plug in!.

Everything you will need

This is great, loads of reviews and useful tips on folk using it on YouTube. All my friends now come to me for a first check if they have a light on. I also check motors with no lights on but have DCT’s in their memory. This is a brilliant tool. The free updates is great as well. Thanks.Read full review...

A little help talking to the brains of a car.

I am not part of a garage, I am only a Dad who looks after his kids cars, mainly to keep costs down. However, my son has a Golf and I needed to replace his rear brake pads and discs, but it is obvious that you need to talk to the "black box' to undertake repair and maintenance work. I decided to opt for the Topdon. It is not cheap, but I was very surprised at the information provided by or through the Topdon unit. My first task was to release the park brake and this was easy. It does not replace the manual work, but it does make life easier to do maintenance work. So far, I am very pleased with my purchase.Read full review...
