TP-Link VR600 modem router

Great product, very easy to set up (one you’ve wrestled your ISPs user name and log-in details from them!).

Love the TP-Link tether app on my iPhone to easily control access times, though my teenage kids don’t!

Also like the dual band feature, and when we switched from the modem router provided by our ISP to this one the connection times and broadcast range were noticeably better.

Go on.....treat yourself to one!

Disappointed

Bought this as a used item to improve on the Plusnet hub one. The WiFi range was marginally better but the router has been unstable and appears to lose the internet periodically. Useless if you want to stream video. I now have a much higher opinion of the Plusnet router, it's much more stable and reliable. Don't bother with this device.Read full review...

Good for the Price

Have had this for a couple of weeks or so and only a couple of dropouts, which is much better than the Netgear router I had before which was very unreliable. The admin pages cover all the things you would expect in a router at this price point and it even has IPv6 tunnelling (although my ISP doesn't, so I can't use it). Range is nothing special though, despite the marketing claims to the contrary and the VPN options are limited. All in all, if you're looking for a decent basic VDSL / ADSL WiFi router then this could be the one for you.Read full review...

Alternative to Sky Q Hub

Bought this to improve on my Sky Hub router’s poor wireless performance but the improvement is barely noticeable. Signal drops to nothing without warning. On a positive note this router is easily configured to replace the Sky Q Hub and has far more user settings available. Avoid the restrictive ‘Tether’ app.Read full review...

Looks good, runs well. What's not to like.

Ideal for everyday use. Cannot comment on streaming and downloading as I mainly use it for browsing and emails.

Takes a minute or two to startup but once going runs perfectly.

Archer VR400

Excellent piece of kit, very easy to set up and use. It can be controlled via an app from your smartphone which is useful to monitor what is going on with the router and make any changes required.

Does the job better than most.

The initial impression is a bit cheap and "plasticy" but in operation, it works far better than my old TP link model.

Great router but range isn’t the best

Was hoping this would have a larger range, but it’s ideal to set up individual networks and better than the network supplied one!
