TP-Link Archer D2
I bought this to replace my free router that came from my ISP, Talk Talk. My internet connection regularly dropped out (wired and wireless) so I thought I would try a new router. It's been in a few weeks now and my connection has not dropped once - before I would definitely have lost my connection a few times.
I had to change a few settings to ensure my smart box worked ok (Apps and Digitial guide) but plenty of guidance online to do this.Read full review

Big, but effective.
The range of the WiFi was considerably better than the unit it replaced. The advanced settings provided a number of useful options and most of the data needed. I have yet to find a reading for up-time, which is available on much more basic devices. The wave forming tended to provide an initial slower speed to fixed WiFi units as if the wave had formed in favour of more remote devices until clawed back. Connection speed has been consistently higher than any previous modem-routers I have tried. The size of the unit however was so big it just would not fit in the place assigned to all its predecessors.Read full review

I could not get this to work properly it refused full stop to link with my pc or iPad, this could be my lack of expertise but surely it should be simple to use???

A solid router you can rely on
After putting up with supplied routers for some long time I decided to invest in a branded unit
and chose TP-link, knowing it to be a good make.
