This device is so easy to use. Pads are very sticky and stay put. Controls are easy to use and the instructions are concise. This unit is far better then the belt type because you can't place the pads where you need them and they do not slip up. It could only be improved by adding a timer. It’s Very plasticky. I thought it would be made out of some sort of heavier durable material.
The flip down side is very delicate , it gets jammed when it’s half way opened, so I have to be very careful with it.

I don't have any other TENS experience, but having suffered neck spasms for years (which can drag on for weeks of pain), a single session with this knocks it on the head.

Arrived quickly. Very easy to use and has definitely made a difference to the back pain I was experiencing. Don't need to use it every day now like I was initially. First time TENS user
Well. First time user, I have Patellar Tendonitis in both knees at the old age of 32. It prevents me from doing everything I love. The pain after exercise is very intense, and it hurts standing up and walking. This TENS machine instantly blocks pain signals. Just place the pads where the pain is and plug them in. A 9v battery is included. I would suggest ordering spare pads and batteries too for further use.
It feels strange if you crank the voltage up but even on low setting it blocks my pain completely. Essential for after a run or sport! Plus you can use them on almost any body part, so bad backs and even 'women's pains' can be treated! Read full review

I wasn't expecting the machine to be so small so thought it probably wouldn't be much good. But I was really surprised at the strength of the current and have found it really helpful in easing the pain in my back and neck. Had a temporary loan of these from my physiotherapist, it helped with my lower back pain so I decided to purchase one for myself. I also bought 2 rechargable 9V batteries so that I can have constant battery power! Lots of variations in the type of pulse and pressure so I'm sure there would be a setting that is suitable for everyone. Great peice of kit.
