Great Detailing for any Tank enthusiast to enjoy

The detailing looks to be absolutely accurate, I was in the Royal Armoured Corps in the early 1970s and this was our regiment's tank, so I will be building it as one of ours. Dry fit, the parts are very good, the figures are well detailed, obviously some of the decals provided I will not use but that is just my preference, and my colour scheme will also be our Green and Black, weathering, will be a bit less as our tanks were kept clean(ish), but still needs to look used. Enough said will get on and do it in the new year (can't wait) Read full review...

An old kit that will come up with a few added details and a bit of work. It is low cost and does look like a Chieftain

This is an old kit that was originally motorised and Tamiya have not upgraded it to modern detail standards and as such still has big holes in the underside and the battery cradles inside. On saying that,it looks like a Chieftain and needs only a couple of hours to bring the details up. I've cleaned out the slots in the engine deck grilles and added plating to cover the underside. I've also bought an Eduard etch set to enhance the fittings and will replace the cupola mounted GPMG. It has rubber band type tracks and,if they hold paint, will use them as not much of the tracks show on the finished model. It is substantially cheaper than the newer releases even with the additional cost of the etched set. Read full review...

Chieftain

Great kit, fits together well and is an excellent representation. First time I’ve used Tamiya paints but very impressed with them - have airbrushed the tank and it looks amazing. Great detail.
