Tamron A010E 28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD Zoom Lens

Great general lens, first usable lens of this kind.

Wide range lenses like these usually are pretty rubbish and not usable for much. This lens however, is fairly sharp, though of course incomparable to a good prime lens. Comparing to other lenses of this type though, the lens performs extremely well.
The aperture is not as wide open as would have been ideal but the image stabilization compensates for that extremely well. It is easy to get sharp images even with slower shutter speeds, which would be needed to get the proper exposure, especially when the lens is extended.
The lens is sturdy and feels very solid, the wheels are very smooth and auto-focusing quite fast.
This is one of the first lens of this kind, that is actually usable for something, and not to mention it's compatibility with full-frame sensor cameras like the Canon 5D Mark iii. You will not be disappointed with it if you are looking for an all-in-one kind of lens.
I own this lens among some primes, which are always great for studio work. This lens on the other hand is great for travel and is an on-the-move type of lens. Read full review

Tamron beats Canon for price and focal distance

Have begun to really test use for an upcoming trip...so far the pics are great and works well with my Canon R5. I test shooting at 300m moving cars...blurry it seemed until I told the R5 I was focusing on cars and then tact sharp...so works well with the camera. Impressive Tele Zoom

This is a great 'walkabout' lens. Ideal for general photography, but also awesome for wildlife, sports and people.

Sharp lens for full-frame DSLR

Sharp images at f8 and medium telephoto. Image stabilization lets me shoot below 1/60 second and still get relatively sharp images. Lens is lightweight and is now my favorite "carry-around" lens on my Nikon D800. I'm not a professional photographer; but I take my photography hobby very seriously. Great value

This package is a great value even if you only got the lens which works perfectly with my Canon 6D SLR. The included toys are great. The 0.43 wide angle adapter gives you a 12 mm lens which is nice sometimes. The 2.2 x telephoto adapter does not work with this lens because it will not focus at infinity any setting above 150 mm. You cannot even focus it manually under these circumstances so it is useless but it is included basically for free so who cares? Read full review
