Teaching With Dear America Books

I bought this book because I will be teaching a history though literature using Dear America Books. While this book gives you ideas of ways to use the Dear America Books as a teaching tool, they do not include may of the things I was looking for. More reference recommendations, more reading comprehension work, or A little more history about the period of time each book is written for. Has a great vocabulary section and a few comprehension questions but not what I was looking for.
I think this is a good book but not for use in the class room more for individual children to use. This maybe why it is no longer in print.Read full review...
