Tecsun PL-880 the best multi band receiver

Tecsun PL-880 have very good reception using the exiting antenna for the AM, FM and SW bands. The sound quality is good. I like the the 18650 lithium battery. It comes with an external antenna which I have not used yet. Lots of memory for storing stations on all bands.Read full review

На средних волнах не поймал на него вообще ничего (про длинные сами понимаете). На коротких справляется довольно неплохо, но в большей части приём зависит от качества антенны. На собственный штырь (телескопическая антенна) не поймал вообще ничего (но условия довольно плохие 2 этаж бетонного здания), на кусок провода, что идёт в комплекте уже что-то поймать можно. На активную антенну от Деген, мощные станции идут довольно стабильно, радиолюбителей поймать не удалось вообще. (делайте выводы) УКВ ловит отлично. Из недостатков отмечу: Несъёмный хвостик для переноски, не очень удобные ручки-крутилки (по ним надо скользить пальцем, а именно крутить не получается.Read full review

Lightweight, compact radio receives AM, FM, shortwave, and longwave bands. Very well designed, thought out, quality construction, with a leather carrying case that protects it from weather and minor abuse. It’s not easy to operate out of the box, and I’m having many reception issues but those issues may be on my end so I can’t blame the radio yet. It’s decent quality and I really like the knobs.

I might be expecting too much compared to older Grundigs' experience.

Not much impressed by sensitivity/selectivity in this expensive unintuitive to use/navigate small portable.
Maybe I expected too much because the Tecsun/Grundig Satellite is such an an excellent radio. Not much use without external antenna connected.
Otherwise nice quality and decent sound for its size.

This radio outperforms Grundig Sat. 750.SSB IS NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING. I have it on my bedside table hooked up to a long wire antenna.I am lucky to have no RF issues.
