fine, but not as good as an older version

This one doesn't seem as efficient as our old version which recently died. The paddle breaks up food, which didn't happen with the old one. You can see the entire contents moving round in a single lump, only occasionally breaking up when something happens to hit the small knob near the handle.

The design of the pan, which is higher in the middle and should stop stuff leaking underneath, is superior, as is the method of paddle attachment. The paddle shape is obviously inferior since it doesn't flip over the food when it rotates.

It doesn't seem to run as hot as the previous version so stuff takes bit longer to cook.

The timer system is overly complicated but works fine once you have worked out how to use it.

The beeps that you hear when the timer ends are no where near loud enough - another bad design choice. Our previous version had a simple timer and was much louder and easy to hear outside the room.

The worst thing is that when it's not being used, the display backlight is on and the LED segments whizz around in some kind of standby routine. This lights up the kitchen at night. Seems like a waste of energy to me, and especially stupid these days. This would indicate the the power supply is fully active too, and thus more likely to be the part that dies first.

The additional basket is a must-buy and we use it all the time.

Still, when the last one broke we really missed it - we wouldn't be without an Actifry!Read full review...

relatively easy to use but noisy !.

have only used it to cook chips on so far. it does this quite efficiently and when cooked the chips are reasonably palatable, not like chip shop chips though. the machine tends to be quite noisey when in use which is a little annoying. overall so far so good. Read full review...
