Best iron bought so far

I was so fortunate to get this at a knock out price. I previously owned a Philips steam generator Iron. Although it is still operable, I needed something with a bit more punch in the steam department .

My philips has fallen off the stand countless time over the years and now has a loose back.The Tefal iron has a handy latch that clips the iron to base prevent this problem happening. It also doubles as a carrier, making the whole thing easier to move around.

The steam output is so powerful and knocks out creases in a breeze. Ironing very heavy creased clothes like jeans or linen is crazy. You only need to iron one side (with minimal effort) and the otherside is taken care of. Ironing time is cut so much. It feels like you only just put up the ironing board and are taking it down again.

The iron is easy on the eye with the controls on the generator. All you need to do is select the fabric type to be ironed. The iron is intuitive and sets the right tempreture for the garment. This iron will let you know when the water needs to be topped up. The tank is huge so water refill are minimal if any during the ironing cycle.

It has a standby mode if iron is not used for a length of time. It will even switch itself off after a longer time of non usage.

The sole plate feels like it is gliding on air and is self cleaning. In my opinion this iron ticks nearly all my boxes. I do miss not having a water spray but like I said the iron has powerful steam.

Tefal GV 9071 - What a difference!

Tremendous purchase, I wish we had bought ourselves one sooner! My wife who normally detests ironing, says this has made such a difference, especially on cotton, but it has multiple settings, so you can control the amount of steam you want to use. Breezes through the creases

I have used similar models of steam generators for years, so was familiar with the efficiency of these irons, but hadn’t expected to find such a potent and lightweight robust iron in such a simple format.
You set the material to be ironed into the heat selector and wait almost no time at all for the unit to heat up. After which it’s a complete breeze, providing truly powerful and efficient crease removal on even the most crease resistant cottons.
Reducing time and effort to a minimum, with maximum results.

Ironing made easy.

I have carpel tunnel in both hands and arthritis which made ironing a painful chore. Know I don't I don't mind getting out the ironing board.
