It's not worth detailing the el;ectronic infindibula. Everything is different, and something more than ten years old is not going to look like it just came out of the time capsule in front of the Tek plant in Washington state, now will it?
The purpose of this review is to review the Seller and his methods, instead.

There were a couple of messages back and forth because E-Bay screwed up one of the detail items, but the Seller took care of the glitch in minutes, if not hours, days or weeks. Bravo.

The Seller was careful to say this unit has not been to the refurb bench in some time. Well, I knew that. And expected, for the final price, to get something Marginal, but Operative and we can work from there.

Instead, the item looked like it had been cleaned up just for me.

Then, and last, let's talk about packing:

I've seen electronics with minimum packaging effort, and electronics with world-class anti-destruct packaging, including Mil-Spec, water tight wooden crates that are painted with marine varnish, and everything in between.

This Seller rates a five-star packaging rating. The box was as big as a dormitory refrigerator and had three (3) different types of material as cushions. Not to mention the fact that FedEx Ground handled the deal, which in itself is a wiener, er, winner.

As far as Operability, I stayed up until 0200 with the printed 'scope manual and by the time I reached half way through the tests (page 52), there were NO GLITCHES. Perfect scores on all the hundreds of settings and waveform tweaks.

But afterward, off came the clothing, the cases, the covers, the knobs, the set screws, the fan filters, the back panel and what could, went into the hot water tub for a toothbrush party, and three different kinds of De-Ox-It and WD-40 lube for all the connectors and switches and pots I could get to.
