Had watched this movie before. Needed to see it again. Only problem with this movie is I wish it was longer. It is engaging, informative, and based on a true story. Realistic presentation of a young autistic woman's journey to impact humane treatment of animals.

This movie takes a lot of the mystery out of autism. It helps explain the needs and behaviors of children afflicted with this condition. It also demonstrates that these children have insights into nature not enjoyed by everyone. And it pointedly shows the beautiful positive contribution autistic children can make to society.

Mainstream society that needs to be educated about people with autism, and this film does a good job in seeing to that. Temple Grandin could not be deterred from achieving her goal. And fortunately, through the support of her mother and other family members as well as those educators who loved her and saw her potential, she achieved remarkable success.

Temple Grandin DVD

I heard about Temple Grandin at a week long autism workshop this summer (2017) for teachers and teachers aides. I am a retired man who works with children (K - 6) on the autism spectrum as a resource teachers aide for reading, writing, and math. I love working with children with autism. I also have a high functioning grandson who is in the aspersers syndrome spectrum (which is a form of autism). I was pleased to see that there can be positive aspects associated with autism. I loved this DVD and would highly recommend it to anyone with autism in their life! Claire Dane's acting was superb. It was hard not to cry at certain parts of the DVD.
