This would be Duran Durans last studio release with Parlophone (they had one more with Capitol in North America and are now signed to Parlophones current sister label Warner Bros.) They thought they had their second wind with the 1993 "Wedding" album but were back at the starting gate with this follow-up which was slated on sight yet had the blessings of the artists covered especially the late SU alum Lou Reed with lead single Perfect Day (Femme Fatale was covered on the last album and appears as a bonus track in Japan). The one track that should have been switched with the other Japanese extra Bowies Diamond Dogs should have been Public Enemys 911 is a Joke (they call it 999 in the UK) yet Simon leBon gives Flavour Flav a run for his money and big clock! The Zeppelin title cut was also on the all-star tribute album Enconium as well as the soundtrack to With Honours starring Joe Pesci and Brendan Fraser (Madge had the lead single on that one yet isn't on Bedtime Stories I don't think). The closest thing to an original is an update of 1982s The Chauffeur called Drive By. I've also gotten CDs of Mr Laurie Anderson, Iggy Pop, The Doors, Led Z, Bob Dylan (via Travelling Wilburys) and Sly and the Family Stone.
