Typical action-packed offering from Marvel

Spider-Man 2 is what fans of the genre have come to expect: Action-packed, wisecracking superhero yarn with scary villains, and angst of the hero.

This one pits the webslinger with an electric-charged bad guy and a return of the Green Goblin to prey on Spidey and his friends. Peter Parker's photography profession is marginalized, but that's OK because he is busy chasing the bad guys.

I don't have any big negatives for this chapter, which is much better than the original reboot of Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield (Hacksaw Ridge) as the webslinger. Garfield also makes a better Spider-Man than his predecessor, Tobey Maguire.

It's worth the time, and the price has come down, so if you want a movie to fill out your collection of superhero movies, this one would make a good addition.Read full review...

Too many characters and subplots but it's still a valiant effort and worth watching. If just for the AWESOME Special Effects and the chemistry between Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey. Peter tries to keep his promise to Gwen's father; keep Gwen out of his business but he can't. He struggling with his oersonal life (as always), his secret identity, the past and future. But when his beloved city is under attack and new villains come calling, he finds everything leads back to Oscorp. More meat and potatoes than the first film.
