A two disc thriller which is well worth anyone's money. Carefully maintained and professionally packaged. I'll be watching this excellent show a few times yet. It's jammed full of stars. Xin from Lost, Perry's wife from Scrubs. I spend half my time star-spotting and the other - Oh that series where the dark haired girl sleeps in the office to dream psychically - Missing (now I'm hankering after that), that's where I saw him. Great remake

Having just read the book I was keen to see the latest screen adaptation of it. In this version of The Andromeda Strain they have built upon the original story to create something with more background to it and if anything a better conclusion. The book does kind of fizzle out so it was good that this doesn't happen. Some of the low budget CGI is evident - such as adding miltary colours to commercial jets and helicopters, but I understand they have a budget and were able to do a good job with what was available.

There are a few plot holes, where in things are not explained or finished off but over all it's a very good remake.Read full review...

A great remake

Having missed this mini series on TV I wanted to see it having really enjoyed the 1971 edition and of course, the book. With a mini series, you can explore the topic a bit further than a film and the makers took full advantage of this. I enjoyed the effects, the extra story line and final little twist. Brilliant

I decided to buy this after i saw the original film a while back. I didnt think it would be as good as the original but i was quickly proven wrong. Brilliant film/mini series... Highly Recommended.
