Incredibly excellent

What sound! This 1968 recording of the principal brass players of the Cleveland, Chicago and Philadelphia orchestras is legendary among brass musicians. Any student of brass worth his mouthpiece should own it. This 1996 remastered CD is the best available option, far better than wearing out several of the original vinyl LPs. (Ask me how I know…) Jacobs, Bloom, Herseth, Jones, Clevenger, Torchinski and on and on - the royalty of American brass are here. Spend the ten bucks and get the CD while these wonderful men are still a recent memory. JLM 5/21Read full review
