The Beatles were many things and one of them was prolific. This second volume of the aptly named Anthology makes available a number of recordings, demos, and alternate takes. Much of what appears here was never intended to be released. It has been saved by accident rather than design. Hence, the quality of what appears here varies greatly. Good for the price, small problems

The contents of this are unquestionably great. However there were some small problems. The condition of the cover was generally good with only hairline scratches and original hype sticker still intact. CD 1 plays well and shows light signs of wear. CD 2 plays perfectly and appears to be in excellent condition with hardly any signs of use. The booklet, however, was missing which I was informed would be still inside the case. Read full review

Back in the late 90'a when I was a teenager this is the album that opened my eyes to the beatles. Some of the tracks on here are better than the album versions. There are a few live tracks on here where the quality is not the greatest but the alternate versions of studio tracks are essential listening for anyone who likes the beatles. Read full review
