I can remember seeing this film some years ago, ao this was a good find. It was superbly filmed and a well done new take on a fairy story. The settings were very much like Arthur Rackham's illustrations to Grimms Fairy Tales. A bit scary, so I wouldn't recommend it to everyone. It was made in 1984, I think so should be judged in that context. The effects were very good considering they did not have CG.Read full review
