A book that explains the real facts behind the science of food and its production

This book is written by the renowned Professor Tim Spector who is undoubtedly one of the main UK experts on gut health.
It discusses in easy to understand terms which foods are beneficial and those to be avoided and explains why you need to change your approach to what you eat.
It makes you rethink your views about the food that we take for granted as being supposedly good for our health according to the food manufacturing companies that want us to buy their products.

Just might change your life....

I heard about the author of this book on Radio 4's Food Programme. He came across as a witty, fascinating sort of chap, and this book confirms that impression on every page.
Time after time I have read passages out loud to anyone who will listen, repeating astonishing facts. Do you have any idea how much the bacteria in your gut actually weighs? You will be blown away by this one little snippet alone.
The facts are well interlarded with witty asides which make this an entertaining and informative read.
I am still reading it, but already the contents of my shopping trolley has changed. I suspect that won't be the only thing.

Great introduction to a paradigm shift

An authoritative author gives a popular introduction to a radical and fundamental change in how we think about our bodies and even the world. Some reviewers don't appreciate that it helped introduce to the mainstream a view that would have been ridiculed just a few years ago.Read full review...
