A great reference aid for those who want to know about Doulton Lambeth Faience and Stonewares

Eyles' book is a very handy visual and historic resource for the history of Doulton's factory in London's Southside at Lambeth. Lambeth was the "artistic" atelier as compared to its Burslem (Stoke on Trent) factory, which produced sewer tiles, sanitary products and lower end items. This book has many photos and references which give the casual collector fun facts, and gives to studious collectors idea of what is worth collecting today. It is not a values book, which is fine. It lists many of the individual workers at Lambeth, their monograms and ideas of who taught them what. Very useful.Read full review...

The photos of the Doulton Lambeth ware are stupendous. The colours are truly gorgeous Everything is immaculately laid out and gives the opportunity to learn the lives of the artists. The authors deserve high praise for their work. Thank you.Read full review...

Essential guide for all Doulton Lambeth collectors

The condition is not as perfectly adequate for a Doulton Lambeth collector like me.

The number of graphs and illustrations make the book an essential for those who are interested in the subject.
