Packed with sound & power
The producer Bunny Lee may not have had his own studio ,but through previous years working in the JA business of hit making knew enough people who did, vitally he had a friendship with King Tubby & a knowledge of what people wanted ,so with stack of top rhythms supplied by the Aggrovators featuring Sly & Robbie amongst others he got DeeJays in Tubbys' studio and came out with the goods- this disc has 16 such tracks, to list them all would take some. But just the first 2 'in the ghetto' by Big joe & 'War & friction ' by I Roy is a tough couple to keep up with but most of the tracks manage it.This was the first release ('94) on the Blood & Fire label that did much to promote classic & often obscure recordings of Jamaican roots & dub.Read full review...
