Good but limited in ambition.
Enjoyable and entertaining, but nonetheless disappointed with the selective nature of the film, which admitted to being 'loosely based on real events and people', and seemed primarily concerned with finding a vehicle for the considerable acting skills of the stunning female protagonists (in part explained by Keira Knightley's mother writing of the script?).
I would much rather the film had explored Dylan's travels to the US, when invited there by John Brinnin, where Caitlin joined him on one occasion and where Dylan subsequently died.Read full review...

Moving and well cast.
Cillian Murphy's beautiful portrayal of a war hero struggling to fit back into civilian life is very moving. A great supporting cast; Matthew Rhys is compelling as Dylan Thomas.

the edge of love
A well produced film- well acted and compelling. Bought as a present because it was about Dylan Thomas's life.
Do not bother
Wow how boring was this. I was expecting a light chic flick. Take my advice and don't waste your time.
