The Gallant Men
Hollywood is no longer making any good World War II movies to TV series, probably due to high reproduction costs. The Gallant Men TV series isn't well known since it only lasted a year. I have the five character figures from the Marx Toy Co., that went into its World War II playset of the same name based on the series. As a baby boomer, I really enjoy watching some of the early 60s action-adventure TV series. I also have the complete four seasons from the Untouchables series from 1959-63.
I really don't care to see today's TV series with all their sexual-inuendo overtones, ultra violence and bad language. The Gallant Men needed none of the above to get its message across. The acting was better too.

I grew up in the '50s and '60s in the shadow of WWII vets , I lived for WWII movies and shows . Combat was good , but The Gallant Men was better . At the time , my dad who was an infantryman in '44 and '45 , said Combat was unrealistic because they never got dirty ! Such a treat to see these shows again after so many years . Read full review...

My childhood
I remember watching this and Combat with my father in the early 60's..i love B&W westerns and WW2 ..good acting, and great outdoor shots( looks like a movie)..hard to find at a decent price..if you like 60's shows or a fan of Combat..this is must have.
