Great book at a great price.

This is about the twelfth book in the Crowner John series, by Bernard Knight, that I have bought from the Cotswold Library. Like all the others this book immerses the reader into the world of a 12th century coroner based in Exeter in the County of Devon. The author is a former Home Office pathologist who has carefully researched the medieval period and introduces characters who did, in fact, really exist. Like all the books in this series the reader can't wait to get to the next chapter, to see what happens next! Read full review

Mystery Reader

Easy reading. Enjoying the locactions which I visit on many occassions. Love walking the same streets as John De Wolfe. I would reccommend without hesitation, the reader may find that they will also learn some medieval history without realising it. This is part of a series make sure you read them in order. The Sanctuary Seeker being the first.Read full review

Crowner John at it again

The amount of research by Bernard Knight into his stories make them compelling reading.

Compelling read

The next in the Crowner John series, which I enjoy. Bernard Knight ensures that the storyline makes you turn the next page.
