I remember wanting to see this movie years ago when it first came out. I was finally able to catch this movie on tv and I was hooked from the beginning. I love Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher as actors. The dynamics of these two characters in this movie is phenomenal :) This is the only movie that I have seen that shows a side of the Coast Guard that I had never known about. There are so many movies about the other branches of service, it was really nice watching this movie about a branch that doesn't always get recognition. I am so thankful to the individuals that serve our country and I'm sure this part of the Coast Guard is nothing like the movie portrays, but this movie is truly worth watching. This movie kept me on the edge of my seat, with a lot of smiles, chuckles, and even tears but it is worth every minute of its run time :)Read full review

I always knew the United States Coast Guard did great things, but the idea of jumping out of a helicopter into a tumultuous sea is beyond comprehension. There are a lot of good lessons in this movie.
