Great tool
Used it briefly tonight and found it was ready to use out the box in about 3mins and so far it's been easy to use and feels strong enough to cope with the large lawn I have. The springs work great helping it back out of the ground.Read full review...

Get a professional in.
The foam handle lasted around 1hr before disintegrating.
spent more time unblocking the thing compared to aerating the lawn
I’m sure if you’ve got the perfect lawn with soft peat moss and sand allowing this thing to sink in it would be perfect, but the only reason you’d buy this is to free up your compacted lawn.

A terrific product.
This hollow tine aerator is really very well made and robust. It comes with a spanner in case you want to remove tins in order to make a three tein aerator or possibly to replace with a spare if they are available. The handle of the spanner can be used to poke out soil from the tines for cleaning at the end of your work. I had another very cheap version of an aerator but it was hard work using it but this one is a breeze to use, mainly because of the springs around the tines. This model is more costly than others advertised on the net but in my opinion it is the best and well worth the cost for build quality and ease of use.Read full review...

Design Issue
The aerator is sturdy and well finished. However the internal dimension of the tines is narrow and the tubes would benefit from being sharp edged. Consequently it is difficult to press them into the turf. Instead of grass and soil passing up through the tines they become clogged. This means that any holes created in the ground compact the surrounding area. This may be because the soil needs to be very wet but no guidance is given or warnings that the tool may not work effectively on all lawns. Read full review...

It is OK,
It is fine in dry ground, but pretty hopeless in wet, bungs up. You just have to wait!
That is an indictment of the genre, not just this particular model which is well made good value and arrived promptly.Read full review...

Excellent Hollow Tine Lawn Aerator
Our lawn had become compacted over the years and water was just running off it. So we bought this hollow tine lawn aerator. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. Even on our hard ground we managed to push the spikes in and the plugs of soil were collected above in a small trough. It took some effort and it will be a while before we cover the whole lawn, but it certainly does the job. We are going to brush some sand and perhaps some lawn seed in to the holes. All in all, we are very pleased with it.Read full review...

Not suitable for purpose.
Does not clear the hollow tines.
Needs clearing after each use, therefore lawn is compressed even further.
Exactly what you don't want.
