This is the first of the three DVDs of the full movie. The quality of the movie is very good. The only point of contention is that it strayed from the book quite often throughout the movie. I read all of the Hobbit/Rings books and it's nice to see them acted out. When I was younger I thought that if you read a book, seeing a movie based on that book would be redundant, but that's almost never the case. Sometimes the movie is wildly different from the book, but even when the director tries to keep the movie faithful to the book, there's inevitably a different spin, and that makes things interesting.Read full review
