The truth is out

This movie is based on the True life story of Jeffery Wigand(played by Russel Crowe) who blew the whistle on the big tobacco corporations.
Al Pacino also stars in this movie as Lowell Bergman a TV producer who helps out Dr. Wigand.

AN EXCELLENT FILM (BASED ON A TRUE TRUE STORY) DEPICTING THE THE WAR BETWEEN THE LIGHT AND THE DARKNESS.
WHAT I DISLIKED ABOUT THIS WHOLE AFFAIR IS THAT THE NEWS CHANNEL CBS WERE AFRAID TO TELL THE PUBLIC THE TRUTH DUE TO "LEGAL REASONS"!!!
SURELY IT'S A GROSS VIOLATION OF FREEWILL IF ANY NEWS CHANNEL IS AFRAID TO SPEAK THE TRUTH.
THE DARK SIDE OF TOBACCO SCIENCE TOOK MUCH SACRIFICE TO BRING DOWN. THE DARK SIDE OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY AND THE MOBILE PHONE INDUSTRY STILL PREVAIL OVER THE TRUTH.

smoking withdraw

A Great thriller with russell Crowe starring as an ex researcher for an cigarette manufacturer who is fired and decides to speak out about the dangers of cigarettes to the mass American public on 60 minutes. He contacts an producer on the show who is played brilliantly by Al Pacino. His former employers will not take this lying down and they do all they can to stop him speaking out. A superb thriller which leaves you guessing through the film and shows what one man can do against even the biggest companies. The movie is also given extra meaning by the fact that it is based on a true story. The only negative about the dvd was that thier wasn't many dvd extras but this could be rectify in later editions.Read full review...
