Would buy this book for a friend, most definetly a must read.

I'd rather hear about Hunter from someone that knew him like Ralph Steadman. Great book.

One hand clapping

I bought this book because I am a fan of both Hunter Thompson and Ralph Steadman since the 70s. There have been few write/illustrator teams that have been better matched in literary history - a near perfect pair is such a demented and twisted way. In this book, I am taken by the combination of sadness and wicked humor that has been the hallmark of eaches work throughout the years and while this tribute is both grand and moving the absence of the good Doctor smacks heavily of the sound of one hand clapping. Highly recommended to anyone with a taste for either artist or anyone with Gonzo senibilities.Read full review...

I just started this book so I can't tell too much about it yet. I do like the way it was written thus far and the pictures are a nice bonus.

Well, mine copy is a signed first edition, so I'm not going to even think about actually reading this copy. But it is sweet.
