This is a wonderful blossoming love story with several very endearing and dramatic plot twists. There are only two main characters, Kate Forster (Sandra Bullock) and Alex Wyler (Keanu Reeves), who are separated by two years in time and correspond by letter to the Lake House, built by Alex's father (Christopher Plummer) Simon, where they have both lived at different times as their relationship deepens.

This is a fabulous love story movie, which is presented in a very unique setting of distance between two lonely but romantic people divided by time.
The whole movie seems so natural and believable regardless of the time and space conflict that is clearly impossible to experience in real life.
The event composition would make any viewer feel an increased heartbeat and tension throughout the whole move. Also, the casual yet interesting characters are lovable from the very first scene.
