If you liked the TV series then I promise you'll love the Mighty Boosh Live. I was one of the lucky one's who got to see the Boosh perform live in Cardiff. This DVD manages in every way to capture the magic of Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt's amazing live performance.

Based loosely on the 4th TV episode "Arctic" where Vince and Howard go in search of the Egg of Mantumbi once more we get to see the Arctic Tundra on an adventure to locate "The Ruby of Kukundu."

You'll find all your favourite characters here from both series 1 and 2, including the marvellous Bob Fossil, who always manages to steal the show. You will also be treated to wonderful cameo appearances from the likes of Old Greg, Rudi Van Disario and of course The Moon.

The most magical thing about the live show, along with the banter between the cast and the audience, is that Fielding and Barratt quite obviously find themselves hilarious, and there are definite moments where they are trying to stifle a laugh. It is satisfying to see comedians that enjoy their work like these two.

You wont be disappointed if you add this to your collection. And on another note, if you get chance to see their tour this year, do it!Read full review...

This, as everything Boosh is genious..it is not only as good as the series i'd like to go further and say even better, but i wont(purely because its too hard to choose either when comparing perfection.

Its an odd tale, combined with music,dancing, visual treats and complete maddness.

The perfect duo of Julian Barratt and Noel Feilding is always going to be impossible to beat, id go so far to say that if i could only watch one comic delight from this point on it would HAVE to star these two, although i would live the rest of my life talking about boxes of minature squirrels, and fish-men complete with manginas...its a strange but wonderful world!

I warn you must watch with an open mind, and in your most obscure of moods..and it will help if you like animals...Howard has the eyes of a shrew and almost everything has some connection with the animal kingdom!

Clearly both amusing each other constantly along with all the other odd characters you meet throughout the series it is an absolute triumph of entertainment and i couldnt recommend it more highyly!

Put this DVD on a permanent loop!

I thought this DVD would be the sort of thing you watch once and then don't ever watch again, how wrong i was! I could watch this over and over again.
The Mighty Boosh transfers seamlessly between television and the live stage, cramming more of the first two series into the live show than you would have thought possible and still had room for new material.
Julian Barret and Noel Fielding are masters of stand up and so are able to have a rapport with the crowd as well as keeping closely to the script - sometimes you cannot tell how much is scripted and how much is ad libbed.

The extras disc is a show on its own, going behind the scenes of the live show and giving you an amazing insight into the general workings.

the mighty boosh comin at ya like a flannel

Take the telly show chuck in some new bits, a fab glitterball suit and Howard in tiny pink knickers, mix in some fab songs, dancing and interaction with the audience and you have the live show. If you liked the telly show( and like Vince you have a mental age of 10yrs )then you will love this, just be careful to avoid a terrific bunny bumming.
With a mind that is way open and in your most obscure mood slip this little gem into your player, dim the lights and prepare for a full on boosh attack on your senses.

mighty boosh live 2006

i bought this because it is a signed copy, i already own it but i thought it would be a nice gift for my son for his birthday.

the mighty boosh is a comedy to get lost in, do not try and understand its logic or reason because there is none, which is what makes it magical and just well *the boosh* the live show is choc full of giggles and the chemistry between noel and julian is so natural, you can see that it is not s strained relationship at all.. it is a take on the first and second series, but in form of sort of a pantomime, what more can i say, just sit down with some nibbles watch it and see......... you will be hooked.....

thats if you can let your inner kid come out.....oh and your sense of humour..

The Boosh at it's best!

If you're a fan of the Mighty Boosh, then you'll know just how warped it's writers' little world is, but this is them at their absolute best. Full of fave Boosh characters, as well as a few new ones, this shows what live comedy should be like! Also, great behind the scenes footage for the obsessive Boosh fan. I could go on forever about how great the show is, but won't, I'll just say, if you're looking for a different kind of comedy genius, or you've already got a warped sense of humour like me, then buy this dvd!Read full review...
