The Monster That Challenged the World (DVD, 1957)

old movies, still fun

nice two movie set. the standout of the two is "monster that challenged the world". premise sounds silly, giant snails run amok, but is fun, engaging movie, with location filming at salton sea during its resort heyday in the fifties. wears very well.
the other, "it! from outer space" is more of a standard low budget fifties sf movie but it's certainly watchable.
the bonus, masters of horror cd, cannot comment about; it's of modern origin and am always leery of modern horror, it can be too horrible for me, so have not listened to it yet.
the picture quality of dvd is quite acceptable.Read full review
