Films that I will always treasure.
My Dad was renowned for going to the video store and bringing back utter rubbish. This was in the days when you actually had to pay to join a video club. So I took over the task and I brought back films even worse than my Dads choices. Occasionally we brought films that were good but video machines had only just come out and it was such a thrill to watch anything and rewind it or stop it or fast forward it. My Dad one day brought this film The Natural with Robert Redford. We sat down to watch it thinking it was going to be the usual rubbish. How wrong were we. The film had us enthralled from beginning to end. I reckon it is in the top three of the best films I have ever seen. I am into action/science fiction/horror/thriller films and drama films never came near the top of my choices but honestly this film is fantastic. The Sting is a cracker of a film but I bought this DVD purely because of The Natural. I am saving it for one night when I know I am not going to be interrupted or bothered by phone calls and I am going to watch this with my Mum and Dad. Fantastic.Read full review
