This book covers 2,000 years of European history from a unique angle. Major figures such as Henry VIII and Napoleon make brief appearances in a larger picture of the passage of time. Occasionally it is a little difficult to remember who everybody is but given the number of them and the repeated use of names this is only to be expected.
