Good morals!

I didn't care for some of the characters and some of the music, but for the most part it's ok. The message for kids is good. The message: Follow your dreams, work hard and you can achieve it, and don't let anyone get in the way to achieve it. Finally Disney has message where a woman is not boy crazy and not dependent on a man. I would have liked seeing an African American princess in the whole entire movie and her not as a frog, but that is the movie. She holds her own well as the prince is a loafer. Princess Tiana + New Orleans = great entertainment

Tiana lives in New Orleans and wants to open her own restaurant. She's not the first Disney heroine who has a dream that doesn't involve getting married; Ariel and Belle, after all, are dissatisfied with their lives and want to explore the world beyond their homes. The difference is that Ariel and Belle, once they meet their princes, are happy to settle down and focus all their attention on their guys. Tiana is just the opposite. She isn't impressed with Prince Naveen, who is rather lazy and conceited. She probably wouldn't give him the time of day if she weren't forced to hang out with him after turning into a frog. Tiana doesn't give up her dream, but she learns that having a career doesn't mean you have to turn your back on romance. Tiana is one of the most well-rounded Disney princesses because she gets to have it all, but has to work hard to get it. Neither the restaurant nor the relationship come easy. The New Orleans setting adds flavor to the plot. Some people feel the voodoo villain is too scary, but my three-year-old granddaughter is not bothered. Read full review

Best of the Princess Films ^_^

I have an unpopular opinion, in that this is by far my favorite of the Disney princess films. The music is stellar, I find that I can identify with the characters, and the film is beautifully animated. I teach college film classes, and I have watched a truly absurd number of films in my time, so I can vouch for the fact that it's well structured and beautifully designed, as well, even from a nuts-and-bolts standpoint. Perhaps the issue at hand is that I am an adult. I sincerely don't understand why this film did not make great numbers at the box office while Frozen managed new records, but it must have to do with the cinematic tastes of small children.Read full review

This DVD was a Christmas present and when my granddaughter & I watched it, it has the word "APPLY" All through the whole movie on the screen! This was definitely a movie that someone copied and not very well I might add. If I could give it no stars I would. A really fine Disney movie

Princess and The Frog is one of my favorite animated Disney movies of late that has traditional animation. The characters are really nice, like Louis the Alligator, Tiana and Naveen, Lottie La Beouf, Eli "Big Daddy" La Beouf (John Goodman), and of course, Ray the firefly. I even like the villain, Dr. Facilier. And the soundtrack is wonderful, especially the song "Down In New Orleans" by Dr. John.
