This version grows on me on a second voewing’

Phyllis is quite outstanding and Peter is good too. The rest of the cast grew on me on a second viewing and I enjoyed the variations from the original film. I recommend buying it if you want to see a second interpretation and are willing to not constantly put it up against the Lionel Jeffries film! It is different and worth seeing. It is a different look at the story but it has its merits and yes I did find the ending moving - well done Roberts and Father. See it with an open mind and don’t compare!Read full review

Enjoyable, but not as much as the original

It was fairly close to the book, but not as good as the original film. I felt the scenes flitted about a bit too much. The characters were portrayed well.
