A Forgotten Gem

As far as parodies go this is one of the best. Lots of Beatle references obviously but excellently done. Neill Innes was such a clever talent and should have been a lot more visible on our screens.

I saw this when it was first aired about 1978. It seemed everybody was talking about the following day. After buying the DVD forty years later I could watch it again.

An oldie but a goody

I saw this TV film in the late 1970s in England. I have seen it a few times since, but for some strange reason it seemed to have been cut for the U.S. market. The DVD seems to be the original British TV program.

I would recommend this DVD to anyone who is familiar with The Beatles story in detail. Anyone who only has a vague knowledge of The Beatles would probably miss a lot of the humour. The songs all stand the test of time, and are some of the best parodies ever written and performed.

You really don't need much cash to buy this DVD, buy it and you won't be disappointed.Read full review...

First saw this around 35 years ago, still as funny today as it was then. And as George Harrison noted, some of the songs are near the knuckle.
