Great actors - Good storyline! If you like Steve McQueen you will love this movie. Candice Bergen also did an awesome job! A love story without all the sex. The S S San Pablo or Sand Pebbles was a gunboat. The story was set in 1926 China which was torn by the revolution. There is conflict aboard the boat and fighting as they go to China Light to rescue the missionaries.Read full review

Awesome Movie With Steve McQueen also I think is his best performance in a film which was the only time he was nominated for an Oscar.
