I COLLECT BRIGHTMAN BUT SHOULDA LET THIS ONE "GET AWAY"

The Welsh voice is a gift to the world, and my all-time favorite is diva Sarah Brightman's lyric vibrato soprano artistry videos and CDs especially of her concerts. But this I'll pass on keeping, and am sorry I bought, as I don't find this direction suits her, and the arrangements miss the mark for her too. Flashes tantalize, though, to hear her more jazzy.

My collection of musicals doesn't continue into the 21st Century since I don't like post-modern unmusical and philosophically lost/empty "entertainment." But even if I did, I still believe I would feel that these which "got away," and these arrangements, should have stayed in their millieu supporting their theatre stories fleshing them out to be more useful, like background sound tracks guide and punctuate dramas.Read full review...

This Album is part of My Collection of the Artistry of Sarah Brightman. It completes the earlier pieces that she recorded and performed in the earlier part of her NOW STELLAR CAREER. Some of the pieces are a bit obscure, BUT they did'nt GET AWAY from her and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Some of them are ABSOLUTE GEMS!!!!! Very interesting songs, you can't beat Sarah's voice!

I read other reviews first and checked what the songs were. I have a lot of Sarah's CDs and DVDs, but I was looking for something different. I hadn't heard most of these songs before, so it was a real treat! I love all different kinds of music, and I enjoy Sarah's voice so much!Read full review...

Beautiful recording..a collector's must!

Sara Brightman 's older cd rocks

This cd sounds like a different Sara when her voice was weaker not as robust as she is today & not as well developed but I enjoyed it. I must say that the quality of the cd may be less than today's cd's it is 11 years old . The price was right .Read full review...

Excellent CD

I love this CD! I believe it is one of Sarah Brighman's best.
I know it's dated 1999, but still feel you can't go wrong with this one.
