A Historical Christmas Event

Unlike many Christmas videos and stories, the Story of Silent Night is Fact and History. It really happened. This DVD explains it all into detail helping you to realize that the writing of it was Heavenly inspired to the composer who was a 26 year old Catholic Priest in Obendorf, Austria at the Parish of St. Nicholas. That lyric composer is Fr.Joseph Mohr, and it is the only published song he ever wrote. Yet it was destined to become the greatest most beloved Christmas Carol of all times.

Written in 1818, and when he wanted to play it for Christmas Eve Mass, Fr. Mohr discovered that that mice had eaten away at the bellows, and the organ couldn't play. Fr. Mohr gets a bright idea to get his musician friend Hanz Gruber to put the lyrics to music on his guitar -

Hence Silent night was born on Christmas eve of 1818 in Obendorf, Austria, Hanz Gruber had written the music for Guitar using only 3 notes, and it was simply beautiful. The Church people were deeply touched by its beauty and shed tears of joy.
