A very good sequel

New Moon takes up right where Twilight left off. This sequel is just as entertaining as the original movie and fans will not be disappointed. Bella (Kristen Stewart) is celebrating her birthday and the others have all planned a party for her. From there things take off and we find out that the Vampires are not the only things that are around town. When he realizes that his presence is endangering the life of Bella, Edward (Robert Pattinson) decides to take off and leave everything he loves behind.

This is a very good sequel to the award winning movie Twilight and the viewer will get caught up in the saga just like in the first movie.

Additional Case includes: Alex Meraz, Ashley Greene, Billy Burke, Bronson Pelletier, Cameron Bright, Charlie Bewley, Chaske Spencer, Christopher Heyerdahl, Dakota Fanning, and Tyson Houseman

If you enjoyed the first movie, you will love this one.

how could asnyone rate this less then excellent???

I cant understand the less then Excellent rating to this movie. It is beautiful thru the whole story. Jacobs tenderness to Bella.. and yet her love never wavering from Edward.. well no..how could it? but still. I love Victoria and am sorry they replaced her. That's just not fair. They would have replaced taylor as jacob also if he hadn't buffed up.. and look at his career now.. good for him. Love all the Characters in this movie. but you really must read the books to totally understand what is going down. specially with the Volturi.. those nasty creatures. those frightening, interesting, totally wicked creatures. Now understand, the book never had anyone fighting with them, except for Jane's mind zap to Edward, but fighting with Felix..didn't happen, not that Felix wouldn't have loved that. I am telling you, it would take three to bring him down two women with big boobs would have to stand in front of him, foir distraction, you understand, and a BIG bruiser behid with a BIG Machetti. lol. and isn't she (Jane)a beautiful little girl.. even with red eyes?? lol. Edward and his family are super great. I even love Jasper, but then from the books you lesrn sbout him. but when he first says hello to Bella in Twilight, wow.. what a voice..he is so beutiful too. well they all are.. they have to be bacuse that's how it's written. buy the books. then watch the movies.. they do need to be rated excellent.. ;)Read full review...

The Twilight Saga: New Moon

The Cullen family flees Forks in order to protect Bella, and the heartbroken high-school senior discovers that vampires aren't the only creatures in town. Realizing that Bella will never be safe as long as he's around, Edward makes the difficult decision to leave his beloved behind shortly after her 18th birthday. Reeling from her loss, Bella embraces self-destruction after being comforted by Edward's image during a moment of mortal peril. But as heavy-hearted as Bella may be, her old friend Jacob distracts her from her sorrows by helping her renovate a weather-beaten motorbike. When Bella encounters a former adversary with a sizable grudge, she's rescued from harm at the last second by pack of enormous, ferocious wolves. Subsequently delving into the history of the Quileutes, Bella discovers the secrets of Jacob's tribe while looking forward to a reunion with Edward that may have deadly consequences. I have not read any of the Twilight Books, to be honest about it, whether both movies are true to the books or not, does not matter to me. I do own Twilight and have watched both movies and found both movies to be very good. I think the screenwriter and director went to great lengths to painstakingly recreate the second book into a movie , undoubtedly due to the response to Twilight. I thought the performances were good. It's obvious that the filmmakers were trying incredibly hard to please the fans of the book. "Twilight - New Moon" deserves much higher respect than it is receiving. New Moon ends on a cliffhanger, that I'm dying to know the outcome. It's harmless, entertaining fun.Read full review...

The Twilight Saga's New Moon

Let me say, I LOVE the "Twilight" books. Like, REALLY LOVE them. I love to read, and I usually read the classics. I'm a Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Bronte Sisters kind of girl. My friend insisted for two years that I should read "Twilight", but I kept thinking, "Teen vampire romance? Not my kind of book." Finally, this 29-year-old mother of three was on a flight by myself with some time to read, so I bought "Twilight". I absolutely DEVOURED it--I read one book a day until I had finished the entire saga in four days. Luckily, "Breaking Dawn" had just been released, so I didn't have to wait. The "Twilight" books are my absolute FAVORITE guilty pleasure--I love the fluff, the cheesy dialogue, the LOVE--all of it.

For me, "New Moon" really needed to redeem all that was wrong with the "Twilight" movie. After watching "Twilight" last year, I was SO disappointed. Catherine Hardwicke had just taken our beloved series and turned it into a made-for-TV movie. I laughed at all of the wrong places. How Bella and Edward fell in love was completely rushed. I could go on. Melissa Rosenberg butchered the book and everything that made me obsessed with it. Sure, "Twilight" was fun to watch because it was "Twilight", but the portrayal was so, so, so wrong on so many levels. My favorite book had been reduced to lines like "spider monkey."

WELL, "NEW MOON" JUST MADE UP FOR EVERY CATHERINE-HARDWICKE WRONG! FANS OF THE BOOK WILL ADORE THIS MOVIE. Edward actually smiles! The acting was SO much better, the visuals were stunning, and the dialogue was much, much improved over "Twilight". I honestly didn't want it to end. It stayed so true to the book we all love, and the little additions were perfect. I really felt like I was watching Bella on screen--Kristen Stewart was spot on. Every expression, every sad word was perfect. AND THEY SAID, "I LOVE YOU," something that was blaringly absent in "Twilight". Chris Weitz has made a stunning, gorgeous film that lovers of the book will adore! **I secretly wish he could remake "Twilight". This is what "Twilight" should have been!** This closet Twilighter was pleased beyond belief.

It seems like most of the critics' negative reviews have problems with the plot, the story, etc. Well, if you like the book and, therefore, like the plot and the story, you will love the film because Chris Weitz is true to the book beyond what I could have imagined or hoped for. This movie felt like it was made for the fans, so I can understand that if you're not a fan of the series how it may feel like a laboured effort to watch "New Moon". But if you love Bella and Edward **and even Jacob--Taylor Lautner was FANTASTIC in this!**, you will leave wanting more!

Exciting and lucious as it draws you in.

The growing friendship between Jacob (Jake) and Bella is shown well, as is the transition of months after Edward leaves her.

One scene is particularly significant as Bella is riding with Jake and she crashes. Hitting her head on a rock, blood flows down her face. Jake removes his shirt to wipe it up saying, "You're apologizing for bleeding? It's only blood." It is an eye-opening scene for Bella since a simple paper cut and a few drops of blood had caused such a traumatic commotion at the Cullens.

Their friendship grows into love, and Jake is a constant temptation to Bella to live a full life, giving up her dreams of Edward completely. She nearly does...
But, Alice Cullen returns after seeing Bella jump from a cliff, and this begins the race to Italy to save Edward.

The movie follows the book with the flashes of Edward that continue to drive Bella to do more and more dangerous acts. Bella's discovery of Jacob's secret is one of the greatest scenes ever filmed. If you loved Twilight, this will titilate your senses for more. It is an excellent film.

Twilight: New Moon

The Twilight Saga: New Moon is a great movie following the first film Twilight. I love the actors and the great book these films were made from. Stephanie Meyer's imagination captured a great and unforgettable love story about a gorgeous vampire in love with a normal new girl in town. This film is gut-wrenching as Edward must leave Bella to make sure she will not be hurt by the normality that vampires have. They crave blood. But love cannot be separated by any length of space. After watching this, move on to Twilight Saga: Eclipse.Read full review...

The Twilight Sagae - New Moon

After years of reading trademark documents relating to Twilight, decided to get the movies. I've never read the books. The company I work for handled all the trademark issues relating to everything twilight. First I was like...."a vampire teen movie"..but saw a clip and was hooked. I guess the movie makes me fall in "love" with the love between Bella and Edward. That true love that never dies. Can't wait to see the last movie.Read full review...
