Does the job
Best wild flowers book on the market! It provides the layman, children to learn how to use a 'Key' and it's the start of the journey towards degree botany proper where flower books don't have pictures of flowers at all! Turin, Clapham and Warberg....not a single picture of a flower! Case - not a single picture of a flower. All found using the 'Key'! It starts with 'Wild Flowers, Francis Rose. Read full review

Very detailed
For me as a beginner, it has to much information. It has everything you need to know about plants and each plant is grouped in to it's 'family'. Great if you have basic knowledge. There is so much writing and the print is very small. I was wanting a book with large pictures, with information under each one, so that I could look up a flower easily to identify it.
To complicated for me but may suit others. Good for researching plant information.Read full review

Serious flora and pocket size
This is the best "serious" flower book than you can fit in your pocket when you go out. Go for the initial edition, not the much larger second edition.
