The Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert (DVD)
I bought this film as I had seen it on television several years ago and it was one of my favourites. It is a happy uplifting story with good music and great acting performances especially from Terence Stamp and Guy Pearce in unusual roles for them as drag artists. The location in the Australian desert is also out of the ordinary. There is great humour but also some quite touching scenes. The outfits are spectacular too. There are also some interesting extras about the making of the film. I can thoroughly recommend this film.Read full review...

Priscilla - Definitely A Queen Of The Desert!!
Bought this as previously owned it on Video format, leant it to a friend never got it back. I've watched it loads of times, and never tire of it. It is a fabulous funny film, that will make you laugh, but that also has poignant moments that can find you with a tear in your eye. Not for the prudish amongst us or children, strictly for the relaxed, well-travelled, open minded viewer, who appreciates Danny Le Rue!! Its about a bunch of mainly trannies that buy a bus and travel through the Australian Outback bringing their particular brand of entertainment to the Fosters swigging, kangeroo shooting community!!Read full review...

i love this film it is great, all time classic!! anyone who has seen this film will know what i mean. priscilla queen of the desert go and buy it now!
Hold on, its gonna be a bumpy ride!
Three queens and a bus! A recipe for a fabulously irreverent tale of straddling social boundaries, the strength of emotional bonds, the impact of past experiences and of hope for the future. Watch it and love it for what it is, and it is delightful! xRead full review...

Great music and laugh a minute
Priscilla will lift your spirits, make you laugh and cry and laugh again. It gives an insight to the prejudices and a wry look at the lifestyle of drag artists. the music will have you bopping along and the costumes will astound you. It is not a "gay" film it is a film, it is a feel good film with a good soundtrack. A few swear words may offend some, but this is surpassed by the humour and storyline. Great for a girls night inRead full review...

Priscilla Queen of the Desert - excellent film
As the show is in London, I was curious about the story, so based on a recommendation from a friend, bought the DVD. It's hilarious and very easy watching, if you're open minded! Would gladly recommend this story of 3 drag queens travelling across Australia in a bus called Priscilla.Read full review...
