All round family entertainment.

A very entertaining series, which I missed the first time around. I am pleased I was able to buy it on e-bay. Worth watching.

classic cartoon adventure, enjoyable, fun, and excellent value & memorable

I bought these dvd's, because I grew up on TIN TIN annuals, as a kid I had at least 10 annuals, dont know where they've gone to now - it was a long time ago, way before my wife and I were married.
The animation is simple unlike todays blow everything up and save the princess from bearing the son of a Zombie chief or something else equally destructive. Back when it was made it was state of the art animation all hand drawn and with storylines - ok some may be a bit far out, but consider todays epic storylines. It is simple, easy to follow, the characters are likeable the villains not powercrazed psycopaths like todays villains, and more important- they are easy to follow and explain to children.
They take you back to an unviolent era which could teach and learn children about good and bad, and leave all the bad language behind, it was has it's name suggests ADVENTURES.
It is also good to see them all again after 30 years plus. Yes they are cartoons, yes they are for kids, but somehow they are good memories of adults younger days, next to reading a Dandy comic or a Whizzer and Chips comic (and if you dont know what they are then you really are not into any classic cartoons at all).
Not only that, but you have to admire the quality and time that these took to produce, these aren't your 5 min cartoons, these are films that took time and patience to create, and a lot of effort was made for each one.
It is only a pity that there are so many other parts of entertainment (not just cartoons) that will never be seen again and will be lost because there were records kept, eg film actors, comedians, entertainers.
So would I recommend it ? Without a doubt, it is an enjoyable piece of history, I would be more than happy to swap the rubbish produced today for much of the entertainment of the past.Read full review...

great set of dvds good product took me back when it first came out injoyable to watch would recommend to a friend 10/10
