DON'T BOTHER

I forced myself to get to page 50, hoping I’ll be reading something good and believable some time soon, but I just cannot read this anymore. I am STUNNED that this book has so many good reviews and wonder how authentic they are, as opposed to being from family, friends, coerced, etc. I would not give it even one star.
I have a large library of paranormal books since I’ve had some amazing personal experiences regarding communication with those who are deceased. I am not an expert, but after more than 16 years of these experiences, I can now say I can pretty much judge a book on this subject based on my knowledge and I can do so quite fairly.
I would compare Mr. Betty’s writing style, which I just cannot bring myself to like, to maybe the extremely bizarre L. Ron Hubbard, or Stephen King. Betty is way, way out there with these stories, even though he claims they are the experiences of other trusted mediums, etc.
The best basic rule of writing is write like you talk… and if this is how Mr. Betty talks, I am very, very glad I will never have to speak to him.
These explanations/descriptions of the afterlife are far too science fiction B.S., in my humble opinion. I cannot now, nor will I ever believe that this is what the afterlife is truly like.
Sorry, not to be mean, but I say pass on this author, this book and these absolutely bizarre explanations of what he thinks we will experience in the “afterlife.”
