Does the job without the hipster tax

This does the job just as well as the way more expensive items that have appeared now that sprouting is the 'new black'. I bought one of these 20 years ago and am only replacing it as the old one is starting to fall apart from normal wear and tear.Read full review

Disappointment

There is only one hole in the trays which makes it difficult for water to drain. Total torment throughout the process, plus the plastic trays are thin, I’m afraid I’ll crack a little harder.Instead of the many tiny holes where the water would drip in smooth moments, there is a big hole that fills with seeds and either drips with water or clogs it.Read full review

Does the job it was designed for very well

When it arrived, it seemed like we'd paid quite a lot for essentially some plastic dishes. However, it is well designed, good instructions and does the job it was designed for very well. Just what I was hoping for.

Drainage problems

The main problem with this product is that there is only one small drainage hole on each layer. This leads to the seeds sitting in water too long and promoting a tendency to mould. I prefer the one I had previously which had many slots to drain the water.Read full review
