Another Great Sidney Poitier movie !

This is a great film.
The always good Sidney Poitier is in top form.
A very good crime-drama with a twist. Sidney Poitier is like in "The Heat of the Night" fantastic and very credible as the honest police detective with a family life.
Also starring Martin Landau. The wonderful soul- & jazz singer Barbara McNair plays the role as Pointier wife.
Highly recommended film.

Only average

Bought this because we loved In the Heat of the Night......this wasn't so good though. Felt a bit laboured . Shame as we enjoy Poitiers films.

Great old classic

This is an old classic movie with Sidney Poitier at his best. They do not make them like this any more.
In this day of HD and near perfect picture quality it makes a change to watch this film in the older technology.
Enjoyed watching this movie again very much

Not one of my better decisions, an impulse buy

Not the best movie I have ever seen. Sidney Pottier was depressing in it. Very dated. His wife in the film was tolerant beyond belief. His parenting skills were not exactly admirable either. Doesn't put policing in a good light.Read full review...
