Big Band Classics.

This collection of big band classics spans the years of 1928 to around 1956 from the vaults of RCA Records. On this 20 selection cassette, many of the classics of that era are represented. TAKE THE "A" TRAIN from Duke Ellington, SING, SING, SING from Benny Goodman, and IN THE MOOD from Glenn Miller are the selections you would expect to have on any decent collection from this era. Also forgotten hits such as POMPTON TURNPIKE from Charlie Barnett, 12th STREET RAG, from Lionel Hampton are nice surprises. This compilation was released in 1971 and is not available on CD as of this writing, although many of these songs are available on individual collections. This is a good introduction of the Big Band Era for new listeners and a great reminder to the conissuer.Read full review...

I love this tape. It has all sorts of swing music, and is so fun to listen and dance to. Great item to buy.
