Timex Expedition; Excellent Watch
These are excellent watches, and I am very fond of them. I have one attached to my motorcycle gloves using a "NATO" Army watch strap, and it works in all weathers. The light feature is useful when camping, or in the still small hours when you want to check the time without disturbing your partner.
I have one I use for my work, where their is a strong chance a lesser watch would be damaged.
Had one strap fail at the clasp, but as I have already said, a NATO straps is an easy resolution.

Good basic watch; direct replacement for same model. Last one well-travelled, gave 19 years sterling service needing nothing more than replacement batteries and straps. Unbeatable value for money
Oddly enough I have been watch mad for years and have many so called superior brands such as Rolex and Vacheron Constantin etc
For practicality and stylishness and all round ruggedness my Timex Expedition is a great great buy.
Exceptional value for money too!
It amuses me greatly whenever I bump into one of my watch snob friends who stand aghast open mouthed when they see me wearing a Timex.
The Indiglo feature is a belter too.
My only tiny gripe is that the date window is a smidge too small. But fr all round value,style and functionality the Timex Expedition simply is outstanding.

Nice beater watch, terrible strap
This is a good buy. The watch itself looks nice and seems sturdy. Indiglo is great.
However, the strap is extremely stiff and very uncomfortable. I changed it right away with a nato strap i had lying around.

Great bargain
Does everything it says on the tin. Keeps great time. The back-light works great. The glass is hard to scratch. I've have yet to make one, and i'm fixing Land Rovers! The casing is plastic. It feels like plastic. The plus-side is that it malkes the watch very light to wear.

Just be aware that this is a discontinued model and you are buying old stock but it's an excellent watch. I bought this to replace one that had survived 30 years hard use including four wars, temps from -15C to 50C+, swimming, snorkelling and on a few occasions accidentally being taken scuba diving. My old watch had out-lasted several 'replacements' including two very expensive dive watches. It's basic, rugged and easy to look after.
